Rising to Power: A Julius Caesar Essay

Born on July 12, 100 B.C., to a noble family, Gaius Julius Caesar is a well-known and honored Military Leader, Dictator, and Statesman of Rome. His applaudable skills influenced many who came after him. He is an inspiration to many and a threat to his enemies during his times.

Gaius Julius Caesar is a Military Leader, Dictator, and influential Politician. His contribution to saving Rome’s decaying political order by implementing dictatorship and his triumph in the Roman Civil War established his name in Rome and all around the globe. He also took a considerable part in helping Rome’s power to expand. Apart from this, he is known as the man who helped Cleopatra rise to power. 

Caesar’s rank and influence quickly rose at a young age, all thanks to his outstanding leadership and victories. Julius Caesar’s mastery of the discipline, strategy, tactics, and military engineering are still of use and admired today.

Due to his popularity and influence, many attempted to write about his greatness and accomplishments. Julius Caesar’s essays and stories were spread worldwide. In 1599, William Shakespeare, a well-known poet, playwright, and actor, wrote a story based on Julius Caesar, titled: The Tragedy of Julius Caesar. This story tells about the political thriller and conspiracy about Caesar, uncovers his assassination, and the fall of his conspirators. 

Caesar’s famous line during his campaign was “Veni, Vidi, Vici,” a Spanish Latin phrase that translates to: “I came, I saw, I conquered.” This phrase is widely used even today when making a Julius Caesar essay. 

Here is a quote he said that is still very much applicable: “When I was five years old, my mom always told me that hap­pi­ness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up.
